From Wikipedia, a nonprofit organization is a legal entity organized and operated for a collective, public or social benefit, in contrast with an entity that operates as a business aiming to generate a profit for its owners. A nonprofit is subject to the non-distribution constraint: any revenues that exceed expenses must be committed to the organization's purpose, not taken by private parties. A wide array of organizations is nonprofit, including most political organizations, schools, business associations, churches, social clubs, and consumer cooperatives.
A wide range of technlogy vendors provide access to services and tools for eligible nonprofits around the world. This post will help you learn about partners and offers.

TechSoup

In majority of the cases, you'll need to validate your nonprofit status with TechSoup. It is a nonprofit international network of non-governmental organizations that provides technical support and technological tools to other nonprofits. TechSoup partners with companies like Microsoft, Adobe, Cisco, and Symantec to provide technology products and services to nonprofits around the world. The organization should provide documents that confirm the nonprofit status. The validation process could take 5-7 business days.

Microsoft For Nonprofits

Microsoft for Nonprofits is a program offered by Microsoft to provide discounted or free access to its cloud-based services and software solutions for nonprofit organizations. This program is designed to help nonprofits leverage technology to achieve their missions and make a greater impact on their communities or causes.
