Nowadays, having a good tech portfolio can be very beneficial for any organization. However, a lot of software is really expensive. The good news is that eligible nonprofits can get technology grants allowing them to receive tools at a reduced cost or completely free.

There are many tech grants or tech features that nonprofits can use to improve and expand their organizations. However, many people are not sure where to find some of these grants. In this article, we will list the grants available for nonprofits.

Microsoft for Nonprofits

Microsoft provides eligible nonprofits with a variety of office productivity software, Windows operating systems, server software, and discounts on cloud subscriptions.

What nonprofits can get?

  1. Microsoft 365. Up to 300 Microsoft 365 Business Basic and up to 10 Microsoft 365 Business Premium licenses for free.

  2. Microsoft Azure. $3,500 (USD) Azure services credits per year and access to the complete portfolio of Azure products and cloud services.

  3. Dynamics 365. Up to 5 Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales licenses, which enable “Fundraising and Engagement” and “Volunteer Management” modules.

  4. LinkedIn. Up to 50% discount.

  5. GitHub. Team account with unlimited private repositories and unlimited users.

  6. Up to 70% discount on online services and perpetual licenses.

Google For Nonprofits

Google for Nonprofits provides free tools to nonprofit organizations that allow them to work more efficiently with a wider audience, spur more supporters to take action, and tell their stories in a more compelling way.

What nonprofits can get?

Google Workspace For Nonprofits (former G Suite)

  • Unlimited Gmail accounts that end in, vs;

  • Google drive, docs, sheets, slides, etc. All those fun little apps;

  • 30GB of space (up from 15 in personal accounts) for Drive documents and email hosting;

$2,000 USD in AWS Promotional Credit, helping to offset costs for nonprofits associated with implementing cloud-based solutions.

  • Up to $100,000 USD of unrestricted financial support
